I started a photography business because I loved taking pictures. Then I hated it.

After about a year it was overwhelming and I wanted to quit every other day. I still loved shooting but the business side of everything was more that I could handle. The emotional roller coaster was just making me crazy. Finally, I decided it had to stop or I had to get out the business of photography. I lived with the guilt of stories I didn’t read to my kids, games I didn’t play, summers I didn’t take them to the pool very often and it seemed like I was missing out on the one other thing I really loved: my kids.

Women are pulled so many directions and I am no exception. I decided I needed my life back and started changing the way I ran my business to make it happen. This past year has been a breath of fresh air to my life. I’ve discovered some wonderful principles and practical ideas for getting my life back and I so want to share them with you. It’s left me room to explore my creativity like never before (more on that at the workshop!), allowed me to take time away from my business to really be with my sweet family, and has re-energized my passion for photography and life. I’m so excited to do some soul replenishing with you in November!
